Sergey Butakov is an Associate professor at Concordia University College of Alberta, Edmonton, AB. He initiated Crot plagiarism detection project for Moodle in 2009 and it quickly became one of the most popular plugins for Moodle. He authored and co-authored a number of works on plagiarism detection.
